How to Give your Bearded Dragon a Bath
The first
step to giving your bearded dragon a bath is to get a plastic bin and a small
towel. If your bearded dragon is still small you might want to give it a bath
in a sink rather than a plastic bin.
Now this next step is really important…..
Do not add chemicals,
soap, or any type of detergent. These might poison your bearded dragon if you
put any of these items in the bath with them.
Next, add
water to your bin. The water temperature in the bin must be kept around 86-95 degrees
F. If your bearded dragon tries to jump out of your bin or sink you probably made
it too hot or cold.
Now make
sure the water level is good for your bearded dragon. If your bearded
dragon is an adult you have to fill your bin up 1-2 inches. For baby bearded
dragons you want to fill your sink up to 1 inch of water. Then gently
get a hand full of water and splash it on your bearded dragons back.
You should keep your bearded dragon in the bath for at least 10-15 minutes. If it tries to jump out take it out and dry your bearded dragon with the towel. You tried your best, but some bearded dragons just don't like water.
Congratulations
now you know how to bathe your bearded dragon!
