How to Give your Bearded Dragon a Bath

The first step to giving your bearded dragon a bath is to get a plastic bin and a small towel. If your bearded dragon is still small you might want to give it a bath in a sink rather than a plastic bin. Now this next step is really important….. Do not add chemicals, soap, or any type of detergent. These might poison your bearded dragon if you put any of these items in the bath with them. Next, add water to your bin. The water temperature in the bin must be kept around 86-95 degrees F. If your bearded dragon tries to jump out of your bin or sink you probably made it too hot or cold. Now make sure the water level is good for your bearded dragon. If your bearded dragon is an adult you have to fill your bin up 1-2 inches. First you want to get a 20 gallon tank for the baby bearded dragons. Then you want to get a 40 gallon tank for the adult Bearded dragons. You also need a screen top for the tanks so your Bearded dragon can breathe. You do not want a glass lid because then your Bearded dragon cannot breathe. Now you can be creative! You can put in anything you want in the tank now, although there are some essential things that you need. You need a heat lamp to keep it warm and you need a thermometer to tell how warm it is in the tank. The temperature should be around 80 to 100 degrees.
